A Letter from our Founder
Some decisions become more difficult as we grow older. They are shaped by the intersection of trust, timing, opportunity, and a deep sense of responsibility. For the past several years, we have explored a succession plan for Angel Faces. The possibility of semi-retirement felt both exciting and unfamiliar with a touch of fear. Just as I felt God nudge me into creating Angel Faces many decades ago, I now experience His nod that it is time for me to rest, play and enjoy new adventures and other opportunities.
For 35 years, I have felt honored to witness the blessings and miracles that unfold when working closely with people who have endured profound trauma. The courage of the girls and women we serve continues to inspire me, bringing beams of light into my heart. “How can I step away from you, the very people who believed in me, trusted me, and helped make this successful mission possible?” Those questions have brought me many sleepless nights.
Until now.
As part of our succession plan, I am thrilled to announce Stacey Reynolds as the new Chief Executive Officer of Angel Faces.
Founded in 2003, Angel Faces provides healing retreats and ongoing support for girls and young women affected by burn and traumatic injuries, and other life-altering challenges. Stacey has served on the Angel Faces board since 2018 and has stood beside me at retreats, fundraising events, and other important moments throughout our journey. She has personally witnessed both the extraordinary courage of the people we serve and the continuing need for our programs.
Stacey brings extensive corporate experience and a strong background in the aesthetics and beauty industry, along with passion, vision, and an unstoppable drive to advance this mission. I am confident that her leadership will help Angel Faces reach more girls, women, and families while strengthening the organization for the future.
This is more than a change in leadership. It is the beginning of a focused transition designed to grow roles, responsibilities, program leadership, and the future direction of Angel Faces. The timing and details of this transition will continue to develop with the goal of ensuring stability, continuity, and long-term growth.
As Founder, I will remain deeply involved. I will serve as Chairman of the Board and as Guardian of Angel Faces’ mission, values, and culture. I’ll continue supporting Stacey, our team, our programs, and our community throughout this evolution. My role may evolve over time, but my commitment to Angel Faces and the people we serve will remain.
Our headquarters as moved to Lenoir City, Tennessee. Our reach and commitment will remain global. Stacey’s contact information and Angel Faces new address is included - she welcomes the opportunity to connect with you!
I ask you passionately to continue supporting Angel Faces and its new leadership—especially now. Your continuous financial support will help us preserve what makes this organization. Through patient focused programs, mental health and resilience initiatives, innovation, workshops, and research, our partnerships in funding and education are vital. Angel Faces will transform lived experience into knowledge, connection, and action. We will amplify voices of trauma growth, inspire new approaches to recovery, and expand access to the tools people need to rebuild their identities and relationships.
I trust this transition will be thoughtful and smooth, and I believe the mission Stacey and our board leads will grow bigger and stronger with you by our side.
Stay with us. Buckle up—Stacey has the wheel! The Eagles sang it well, “you can check out anytime you want, but you can never leave.”
With everlasting gratitude for your continued belief in Angel Faces,
Lesia S. Cartelli Stacey Reynolds
